Based on their Atlas and Poseidon projects, Höegh Evi and Aker BP will show how CO₂ can be collected, transported, injected directly and stored permanently on the Norwegian Continental Shelf using state of the art marine technology. The partners will demonstrate that the utilisation of floating terminals, shuttle carriers, and offshore mooring and injection will be a safe, sustainable, efficient and cost-effective addition to the portfolio of CCS solutions aimed at helping Europe’s industry to decarbonise and at meeting the ambitious targets set by the European Commission.
